My summary:

Hero North agrees to go on a dating show that lasts several weeks. She agrees because that's the only way her boss will let her keep her job and continue writing for his tabloid. She agreed and told him she'd come home with a heck of a story, but, she never thought she'd meet Adam.

Adam Fuller, or Monday Marsh when he's undercover on the island. Is on the show so that he can keep an eye on his client's ex-girlfriend. He's a private investigator posing as a famous radio host, who apparently no one has ever seen. This is his first real P.I. job, and he's got to make it work, because his cat, Jesus, really needs an operation. But, how is he supposed to focus on his job, when he can't stop thinking about Hero?

Oh. My. Gosh. This story was freaking hysterical! On the very first page there's a Beatle's reference. A few pages later Hero and her best friend are discussing "Fatal Attraction Syndrome". Anyone who's seen the movie gets the basic meaning there... And because Hero seems so, normal, it's funny when her friend warns her that if she doesn;t stop denying herself the love of a man she'll end up, "boiling some poor honest man's rabbit." So, we know Hero has a few things going on, if only her unique job and nutty best friend. When she meets Adam and his suicidal dog-sized gray cat... Well, things liven up even more. I loved this story, and I'm hoping to be able to report back soon on Improper English.
